making the switch from MA to LPN

Published

The waiting list for clinicals is 15 months but I have decided that Medical Assisting is not for me and will be switching tomorrow to LPN. Luckily I have been taking a lot of generals that go with LPN and don't have that much generals left to take for LPN and RN. About 3 quarters left and then all I will have left is the theory that goes along with LPN clinicals. And then when I do the RN I will just have theory and clinicals as well. I really do hope I made a good decision. There is always a chance of people dropping out or quitting which makes you go up on the list. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

as a lvn, i think the decision your making is a great one. im not stating this just because im an lvn, but because youll gain nursing experience, make a decent living, and it will open more doors for you in the future. ive never seen any cma-rn programs, but i have seen many lvn-rn or lvn-bsn programs. soo good luck to your endeavors.
