Hi All! Does anyone work at Paoli or Lankenau Hospitals? I'm graduating in May and am curious about what it's like to work there as a RN. Please let me know! Thanks

Hey, I'm doing my clinical there now. Anything you were wondering about in particular that I can answer from the student perspective?

ETA: I'm at Lankenau. They just switched to computer charting, and use scanners for med administration. I'm on a med/surg floor, the nurses average about 4-6 patients. (Mostly 5, I've only seen someone assigned 6 once) Day shift has about 4 PCT/s. IV Team does IV starts.

That's all I can think of for now.

Sorry I can't help you but what school do you go to? I graduate in May too from Brandywine School of Nursing.

Specializes in Skilled Nursing.

I had clinicals at both places, I loved it. My 2 best friends are RNs there. I just applied for a few RN jobs there. I like how they operate, and also all the advanced medicine you see there. Its pretty cool!! Great hospitals to learn from for sure!!

does anyone know how much they pay patient care techs at main line health...i.e Paoli Hospital

Specializes in Pedi Rehab,Pediatrics, PICU.

From what I read in an article a few months go, MLH, only hires BSNs. I applied there as a new grad several times. Never got a call back, and the recruiter doesn't respond to calls/e-mail. This may have change since last year. The article regarding BSN only hiring was only a few months ago.

Good Luck.
