  1. Thanks for the response...I also do resume and cover letters lol...I'm actually seen on penn's website that I'm being considered for an anesthesia tech position so I'm praying I get It. Good Luck on your position as an ED Tech, let me know how you like it....:)
  2. wow..thas crazy well i guess im gonna stick with drexel then
  3. Hi, babeblu555 how is the program? What problems are you having, because I was considering going to pitc but I couldnt find any reviews on the program.
  4. i lovethis post...i am a pre-nursing student and i plan on doing a bsn express program....so i will be taking your advice to be well prepared...:)
  5. Hi goober, if you dont mind me asking, was it fairly easy to obtain a job at Penn, I have been applying there for so long but everyone tells me you have to know someone in order to even be considered....any info would be appreciated.
  6. Hi, I was wondering was it difficult for you to get hired at the hospital??? I have been a CMA for 2yrs now but I cant find anywhere thats hiring, I kept applying to Upenn and Jefferson and Mercy but it seems they only want MAs with experience, like how am I suppose to get experience if no one hires new grads....any info would be helpful...
  7. Oh and I will not recommend this program at all, I recommend Folcroft's LPN program
  8. I apologize for not responding sooner, but I decided against it. I have an associate's degree in allied health so I do have at least 4 classes thats in their curriculum that I already took. My admission's rep tried to "trick" me into attending because she said that they will look at my college transcript and the classes that I dont need will most likely be waived depending on my grades. Well to my suprise I came to find out that they donot look at your college transcripts, they only look at high school transcripts. She knew this information and refused to inform me.....anyway it ended with me walking out and then leaving a voicemail telling her how disgusted I was and how unprofessional their institution is. If they had told me from the beginning that they only looked at high school transcripts I might of still went thru with the process, but they were completely dishonest, and everyone in the admissions department including my financial aid rep heard me asking about this and said nothing....that was my deal breaker.
  9. HI, what school do you attend and how are the classes coming along??
  10. I have a quick question, how were you guys able to start your nursing career in the ICU
  11. Not at all nurse.betty, I would of chosen to do the other programs as well because you will be saving a few bucks that way also and its only 1yr to get your BSN once you have your ASN. Just think about it, you will be taking 2yrs for your Associate in Nursing then you will do 1yr to get your Bachelors degree, also you can work as an RN at a long term care facility while taking classes to get your bsn. Whatever you decide to do, make the best of it. :)
  12. Hey msull7288...thanx for the info, I actually live in Philadelphia right now and I will be getting my bachelors in health science from Drexel university...when I'm done I plan on trying to get into penns bsn/msn program...I didnt know I can work as an anesthesia tech without cert..if I can that's awesome...I really would like to work for hup (#1 choice)...or jefferson hospital while completing my bsn. Anyway I'll definitely check it out..hopefully I find a position as a tech....
  13. CONGRATS TO YOU ALSO SCHOOL24, I would like to know what were your stats also just so I can get an idea of what I need to get into the program. Again I'm happy for you guys...I think its awesome because I thought that you couldnt get into the anesthesia track without doing your 2yrs in ICU first, but this is sooo cool lol...congrats again...
  14. Hi terps, OMGEEE CONGRATS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE I am considering applying to Penn's BSN/MSN program also and I am interested in the nurse anesthetist program. I was wondering what your stats were? I am excited for you, hopefully that will be my post in the next 3yrs lol....Any info will be greatly appreciated :)

Im suppose to be attending prism institute for the lpn but i'm having trouble finding current reviews for their lpn program. Can anyone tell me what to expect or what their lpn program is like and if you were able to transfer to an RN program when you completed it. Thanks in advance :)
