Let's share our experiences !!! I just wanted to start a page for those who are getting ready for Macomb Nursing program 2014.
I actually applied this year(2013) for the first time. Unfortunately I was't accepted, but I am hoping to be accepted next year! I want to share my experiences, and meet people who are also applying.
I have completed all the prerequisites, and I plan to retake the Hesi test sometime this year.
Welcome!
:)
Good luck to everyone who is taking the hesi tommorow .... hope you guys do better than me ..... lol does anybody know how long it takes for them to send you a letter telling you what else you need to submit before applying ...... i turned my app in a little before x mas break and i still havent got anything in the mail yet concerning me or if they have everything they need for me
From what I have heard you were supposed to get some kind of letter stating they received your application (if you mailed it).
I just recently turned mine into the enrollment office in person. Does anyone know if they send any kind of letter to you (if you dropped it off in person) confirming they are processing your application?
I submitted my letter around the end of November and just got a letter a few weeks ago on Jan 10th saying they received my application, but that I was missing my Hesi.... but I took it on Dec 20th. So I called like so many people and they all said my Hesi was showing in my records. So I finally talked to this one lady that said the scores hadn't been entered in or something like that.... She said not to worry about it and that they would all be by February 15th. Has that happened to anyone else? Can't believe all we have to do is wait now....
same thing happend to me they said they got everything but my hesi but i know i took it glad you told me that it would be on file by the 15th ...... i will call in the last week just to make sure they got it ...... i know i probally wont make it in this year but i hope i do better next year im really praying some how i make the alternative list :-(
Deanna I am seriously right there with you. Im not sure if my GPA is going to be good enough to get in at all I really want it bad this year. I am trying to keep telling myself that even if I don't get in it will be OK because I know I will just try again next year and then i'll have another whole year to work on myself & grades and do something awesome like travel or just do something while i'm still young. The only thing we can do is try again and if we want it that bad then we WILL become nurses eventually. We are ttly in this together so DON'T get discouraged. I seriously know how easy it is to get really discouraged. We have no idea what the stats are going to be for this year and who knows they might be completely different from last year's group. We just have to keep our heads up and time will tell.
