Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone has registered to take their HESI in the fall and are planning to apply to Macomb's nursing program for the 2013 admission cycle!?
Let me know!
Right!!! I understand it must take a lot of time for them to get everything done. They have multiple selective admissions to schedule, but I need to plan my life here lol. I don't work well unless I have everything planned out. I was right on the cusp of October and I am worried that it will say August and I will be in a mad dash to complete everything/get a loan/breathe.
Other than ranking, what determines our start date?
May 25, 2013 I sent the following email:
"For our medical records and physical are we waiting to receive a form from the school or do we use our own medical facility form? Also, do I send you a copy of my healthcare insurance? Is there anything else that I should being doing now?
On May 29, 2013 I received the following reply:
"I will send out information – including the physical form – closer to the start dates, which have not been decided yet"
Based on my ranking, I expect to start in August; however, the reply that I received suggests that ranking is not the only factor. Not sure what to think, but I feel good about trying to cover my bases.
So if you were ranked above 40 you are August for sure, unless your prerequisites are not done. They have to say that to you because If they say yes you are an August since you ranked -- whatever. Then everyone would want them to tell them their start date. That the answer my counselor gave me when I went up there after orientation.

Alright so I have uncovered information from someone I knew that was in the program last year. She got her start date letter in the mail June 22. It told her she was an August start and the possible classes that you would be in(the same list that is online in the schedule) Then about a week later she got her exact classes to register for. All class times were chosen for her and she just registered for them on her registration day, which for us this year is July 11th or something.
