Hello guys,
Thought I'd start a thread for all those MCC students that applied for the MCC Fall 2025 nursing. I'm anxious and nervous I have a 3.8 GPA but did not do very well on the TEAS.
Pathogenic Micro was my worst class and the stressed me out the most!! and I had to retake it! I got a C+, which almost made me not apply this year but expect for my B+ in A&P, I got all A's. Pathogenic lecture plus lab is a lot and thank you
But for me to take them together during a Summer semester, along with personal matters, I was satisfied with my grades. Well atleast at that time

If you're going to take Micro and A&P at the same time be prepared to put your 110% into studying. These classes are so intensive, the lecture exams are ruthless. Study like your life depended on it. I took these classes separately. I got an A in A&P and B+ in Microbiology. I would have gotten an A but I took the class in 8 weeks over the Summer. I got accepted into the Nursing program for this fall.
GPA 3.6 or 3.7 not really sure and TEAS 87% (though they will be accepting the HESI again next year). I can tell you that the program is very competitive so try your hardest to get the best grades possible.
I got an A in English
A in A&P
B+ in Micro and a B- in Intro to nursing (my first class I took and I didn't take it serious).
I took English, A&P and Micro all in the fall 😵💫 It is possible but it is VERY hard, but I knew that I wanted to apply this year so I was straight in focus mode. I am a wife and mother of 3 so if I can do it, I feel any one can LOL
I was accepted and I can tell you that while it's hard work, I think it's really a crash course in what the nursing program will be.
Good luck to you all 😊

Regardless, try to do as best as possible in all prerequisites. They will only choose the best of the best! The only classes that are ranked for the program is English, A&P, Micro and Intro to Nursing so try to do the best with those 4.
