Mac RPN to BSCN 2016 (Conestoga/Mohawk/Six Nations)

Hello. I am looking for any students enrolled in the RPN to BSCN program with McMaster. I would love to hear from you no matter what site you are at. (Conestoga, Mohawk, Six Nations) Would just like to know some more about the program and the course load. If there are any online classes or all in class? Currently I am waitlisted for all three sites but will likely end up at CO/MAC. All your help is appreciated!

Your first year of the bridging program (considered "Level 2") is all bridging with other RPN-BScN students. After those two semesters, you merge with the basic stream BScN students into year 3 of the BScN program and take the same classes (although you do get exempt from a couple of classes that basic stream students still have to take, like nutrition). I am in my final year, that is how I know this.

Thanks for the info xokw!! Mohawk admissions office never replied to my email so I ended up calling the aboriginal education coordinator and she told me the Six Nations MoMac program has majority of courses at Brantford and some courses at IAHS for the first two of the three years. Then for the third and final year it completely transitions to McMaster/IAHS.

I also asked if I am able to take the program part-time since I recently got a job offer and I did not want to give up on either the job or the bridging program ... the coordinator did not have an definite answer for me. So I am wondering if anyone knows if I can take the MoMac program part-time? I understand it states full-time on the website, but when I am picking my courses, am I able to pick 1-2 courses a semester?

Yeah, I only know that the comac program is at Conestoga all 6 semesters, nothing about how the other one works in that regard.

Its not not offered part-time. All the classes are designed to be taken as they are set up full-time.

You completed the CASPer test, correct? How was it? Any general tips?

Hi ohmychonny! Just wondering how did everything work out for you? I'm in the same situation right now and is wondering if I could reduce the course load on my own. Registrar people always say you are supposed to be doing it full time but I want to hear it from the students. Can you tell me how many days of school do you have on average? I have only a few more days to accept the offer and I'm not sure if I should take it. Thanks for any advice!!! All the best :)

I'm attending Co/Mac in the Fall and am wondering about electives. I have tried to find electives that are being offered online and I have not been able to find them - all I found were in-person lectures. Can you help me out?
