plz help me out, m going to chicago on marriage basis , my would be husband is H1 visa holder, i know about requirement of nclex rn but DO I NEED TOEFL TO PRACTISE AS A RN PROFESSIONAL
The thing is you can come to USA on H4 visa without any problem.
I am happy to hear you cleared the english exam.
You can get licenceas an RN if u will pass the nclex, U seems indian to me, and if u r and u did GNM than it will be little bit hard to clear the NCLEX but you will be eligible to sit in the test as the nurses from other countries.
The difference is the currilculum for GNM is little bit different from here. But nothing is impossible so dont lose hope. If u r not from India than ignore this part.
If u will get the licence, the bad part will be you cannot work because in USA we dont have any H1 visa for nurses. So you have to wait as we are doing until the visa is available.

Thanks for your guidance.:bow:I want to bring to your kind notice that i am a B.Sc nursing graduate from india. I know that nclex is essential for practicing as a nurse in US. But my main concern is to have working visa in US. One way is to clear nclex and wait till the retrogression gets over. BUT is there any other way to come to us after clearing Nclex, which takes less time than nclex basis.
I am glad to hear that you are B.Sc nursing, sorry i totally forget that there are another programs too except GNM.That will make major difference as compare to GNM program, u have 100% chances to clear NCLEX. The only thing we can do right now is wait, other option is H1C visa, but it is limited to 500nurses/ year. if u will search on this forum u can find more info about H1C visa. I think if u have work expierence u should try. i hope the retrogression gets over soon and we will get jobs. Best of Luck
