LW Tech Winter 2017

Published

Hey everyone,

I am reapplying to Lake Wa for winter quarter I did not get in for Fall. Was wondering how people are liking the program that are in it already?

I scored about 72 points total so I am retaking my Teas and redoing my essay for hopefully more points. Also nervous about the amount of people applying since Fall had over 120 applicants. I also heard that tuition is higher now but still would like to go here. If anyone could give me info on how they are liking the program so far that would be great.

Thank you

Ahhhh ya I decided to take a nap to kill time and when I woke up I got the delay email. Well if you do get your email tomorrow or Wednesday let me know... I won't be checking my school email as often now. Don't know whether to feel relieved right now or more anxious haha

I also applied for fall quarter. I, like everyone else, am anxiously awaiting the selection results. How many overall points do you guys have? And as the initial post indicated, I would like to hear how people like the program as well... It seems the program has gotten some better reviews as the years have passed, but I'm still eager to hear from currently enrolled or recent graduates... Good luck to everyone, the wait is almost over!

So, we received our emails... did anyone get in?

Congrats!! I didn't get in :/ I was on track with all the averages, just don't know what I scored on the essay. What was your guys gpa, TEAS, and prior education points if you don't mind me asking? I'm going to reapply for winter.

My official transcripts also didn't arrive until Wednesday due to the holiday... since everything was due that Monday, I'm wondering if maybe that disqualified my app? You guys have any insight..? And again, congratulations!!

Oh no! Im so sorry to hear that... definitely keep reapplying!! So I have a 4.0 prereq gpa, score of an 87 on the teas. I don't have a bachelors degree but went to a university and have enough credits that are equivalent to a junior standing, so if they took that into consideration that would give me an extra 4 points. I also got accepted into a BSN program 5 years ago which I had to decline because of circumstances at the time but actually included that into my essay so maybe that helped me a little also. Oh and I also have my CNA which was still pending at the time of my application which I had to let them know and show proof of an email saying that I was in the process of receiving it. Your transcripts could have been it when I spoke to an advisor earlier this year, they told me to send my transcripts in early because it takes time for them to process and translate it. Sorry so long, I just really would love to help you in anyway. Don't give up and reapply!!

@katielaisywalker So awesome! Congratulations!!! I guess I'll be meeting you hopefully at orientation!

@ligaya_anela thank you so much!!! I'm definitely excited to meet you at orientation. Sounds like we had pretty similar applications. I also had a 4.0 gpa and I scored 86 on the TEAS! I didn't have any prior education points though. I have also worked as a CNA for a year but obviously that's not point bearing , just thought I'd mention it.

@taylorh03 I bet the transcripts definitely did have something to do with it. They did seem pretty strict about applications being 100% complete by the deadline. I'm so sorry you didn't get in but I'm sure you'll get it for winter quarter!!

@ligaya_anela do you have a way I could contact you outside of this page? I'd love to know someone else going in to this! I feel like the 24 of us are about to be family for the next two years.

Absolutely! I was thinking the exact same thing... Email me at [email protected] and I can give you my number
