what is the scope of practice in a rehab facility with regard to performing duties

Here's my thoughts on working below the highest level license one holds: Don't do it! Why? Because the job may restrict you to performing only those duties outlined in your job description, but the BON will hold you to the level of the license you hold. It can lead to some bad situations where one gets fired for going beyond the scope of the job held despite the fact that the license allows those actions. The flip side is that one maintains the job role but gets called in front of the BON for not acting as a prudent professional with licensure in an emergent patient situation. Additionally, why would you settle for a job that isn't going to give you pay and duties that matches your licensure and education?
