LVN TO RN APU Spring 2020

Published

Hello Everyone!

I recently applied to the LVN to RN program at APU IE campus (Spring 2020).

I was informed it will take 6 weeks for the reviewing and decision making to be completed. I asked my academic advisor if there is an interview process or any further steps after. He stated a decision will be made at the 6 week mark whether you were accepted or denied into the program.

Did anyone else apply for Spring 2020? I would love to hear from you all.

Have a blessed day !

Hi, I finally got a call and email from Azusa. I have been accepted. So excited!

OMG how exciting CONGRATS! I know right? I feel like I’m dreaming. I’m so happy for us. Hopefully you can start fall if not for sure for Spring!

I have to do the registration as well. They said the same to me it will be on zoom and online.

Congratulations on getting in! I'm applying for Spring 2021 and I'm super anxious already. What's the scheduling like? I'm trying to figure out if I'd be able to keep my current job if I got in

Hi, aww it is exciting. So right now for the first semester it’s two days a week. They still need to assign us days for our skills lab so will see when that will be... but for sure you’ll have two days worth of classes. You can definitely work but I would suggest doing part time. Everyone is really nice and uplifting and you’ll be with the same classmates in each class. It’s a lot of work but if you stay on top of everything and keep organized you’ll be fine.

Part of me wants to say that doesn't sound too bad but I'm sure there's lots of work to do LOL Are the classes online or in person right now? I heard the hours are typically between 8ish-5ish

Hi, it doesn’t sound so bad and wasn’t but out of no where they threw a bunch of extra things at us. Something called IHUMAN. Basically it’s clinical (sims) practice on “patients” but it’s online pretend patients. If that makes sense? They have us doing that along with a concept map and SBAR attached with it. They also assigned an extra lab class online. This is due to us needed our state hours and not being able to complete them on campus. They are slightly disorganized but it’s OK. Yes it’s all online via zoom. We will be attending campus for once a month for our health assessment class. With groups of 5 at a time only. We will also attend campus once a week for another lab class.

I have applied to the monrovia campus. This is my second time applying. Good luck with everything!

Hello! I just saw your post that this was your second time applying. Did APU inform you why you were not accepted the first time if you don't mind sharing? Thank you!
