LVN Texas test...

Hi all. I'm sure this has been taken up here before but I didn't see much for Texas when I searched. I will be taking the LVN test soon and was wondering if anyone else from TX has taken it. Do I need to study more on Science or Math and Reading. My Science, Chemistry and Physics are my major worries as it's been years since I've studied those. I have bought a LVN book and have been studying. Any help on this?

I was an LVN in Texas before becoming an RN, but I have never heard of an "Texas LVN test". When you complete an accredited program in Texas and completed all the other requirements then you would take the NCLEX-PN. Are you possibley talking about a pre-nursing entrance exam that your school uses?

I think you're referring to the NCLEX-PN. All LPNs/LVNs, including those in Texas, take this test. Good luck!

I took the LVN version of the NET pre entrance exam over 2 years ago. As I can recall, it contained basic reading and math skills such as fractions, decimals, percentages, and so on. If you can read and write at or above the 8th grade level, then you have very little to worry about (besides test anxiety). Good luck!
