I was just wondering, I am in the lvn program, and I know somebody who's been an lvn for 3 years now working in a hospital in the bay area. Well recently she told me now she's getting paid $30/hr. And I wonder that, because I thought LVN's don't make that much money starting up and she said when she gets a pay raise, some raises she got were $4.00!!! is this true? can LVN's get up to a $4.00 raise?
how much was your raises?

there's your answer - SHE LIVES IN THE BAY AREA. It's higher cost of living up there, so of course their nurses make a little more.

An LVN pay raise of $4 is highly unusual unless, of course, the nurse lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area. When you take into consideration the cost of living, $30 per hour is not very much money in the Bay area.
