LVN/LPN to RN's?

Published

Can any RN's who have started out as an LPN/LVN in CA tell me how many nursing courses are left to complete the RN portion?

I'm referring to actual nursing courses including transitional, not humanities, etc...

Thank you in advance! I'm not getting clear information from colleges/Unis.

Wouldn't it depend on the actual school?

I completed an LVN program in southern California...

However, I completed an LPN-to-ASN program out of state. Therefore, sharing my experience might not bestow any relevant information upon you.

If you could share I'd appreciate it.

I'm just looking for courses specific to nursing. Some of you may have had two classes, some maybe more. I'm interested in what they were and how different those courses are from the traditional LVN courses.

Here is an example from my school's bridge program ....these nursing classes are in addition to the prerequisites, of course.

And these are the prerequisites (in addition to being an LVN):

You can probably look up other examples online, as well. A lot of programs have their degree plans posted.

I graduate in April but we have 3 semesters of core nursing classes and that's it. Each semester is broke in two 7 week clinical rotation and subject matter.

Hi out of all the nursing classes which did you find the most difficult?? I'm applying to an lvn to RN program and am taking these classes hopefully in August. I'd like to know just to be prepared. Super nervous though as I have no work experience.í ½í¸¯
