Yeah... I know , my sister is an RN but the LVN works different, I guess... I think it is kind of goofy myself!! But I guess if you dont pass you dont have to pay the licnese fee?? So, if if you fail the NCLEX as a RN... what happens to the license fees?? Do you get them back?? I dont know... I dont understand some of the ways that California works?? I probably never will... :rotfl:

Once you pass the board, you pay for the actual license and it takes 2-3 weeks to get it in the mail.
The RN license in California requires payment of all fees before you take the exam, not only if you pass. Sorry, can't help you with that. Did you check out their website for the CA Board of Nursing?
For NCLEX-PN, you pay for the application fees first then you get the ATT. The actual license( that very important piece of plastic) fee is paid once you pass the board. It's the same with RN license, if you don't pass then you have to pay for application and testing fees again. But the actual license fee is not due until the board says you can actually have it.
