How many people on this board are waiting for an interview with Kaplan Sacramento? Any word yet? Does anyone know when classes are expected to start? I cant get a clear answer

Thanks guys for the support!! Its funny I've been waiting for today for awhile and it finally came!!! So my interview lasted all of umm 5-7 minutes lol. I was prepared to give a big speech why i wanted to be a nurse about wanting to take care of people not just "helping" them and then the only question she asked me was why did i think i would be good for kaplan college and if i was comfortable with giving injections!!! lol.

I tried not to babble ( iam really good at running my mouth about myself..lol) which was really hard. I found out some of the sites that they do clinicals at. the two i was excited about was the mother/baby and the prison. i know i know totally two different areas. Now that its done and over with just have to wait till a fews days after 10/01/09... my birthday is on october 8th so hopefully i'll get a nice early birthday present. I guess they will give you 30 days after the letter to accept or to get everything situated??? so school won't start till november?? idk. Im getting to ahead of myself. one step at a time. lol. that would great if we all got accepted!!!

The DON was very nice!!! she seemed really sincere. I hope i made a good impression. I feel like the interview wasnt really needed.. idk.

ashlie2144, i totally agree. I got totally prepared for an interview, but it was just a couple of questions like if you are ok with driving to clinicals that could be up to a hour and a half away. It didn't really feel like an interview more of just kind of getting to know you and are you sure you want to go to our school. The DON was really nice and I hope I get accepted. My birthday is just days before yours on the 5th of October, hopefully we get a nice birthday letter in the mail.

I know right!!! Fingers crossed. what time was your interview? I feel like i overdressed. I seen other potential students and they dressed very casual. I think I over did everything!! lol. But its better to be over than under!!

mine wasn't until the afternoon.(I saw your name on the sign in sheet) I was dressed to the nine as well, but at least we looked professional.

I had dressed up too. I was actually surprised seeing a couple people show up in jeans, another in flip flops. Come on people!! This is the person deciding if they want you or not!! This is not an informal meeting with your admissions rep!! I was really early for my meeting too. I agree DON was very very nice. Let's all stay positive and think good thoughts.
