It might, depending upon your state.

In AZ that is a misdemeanor, so a criminal charge, but I doubt most employers would care. I'd tell them you thought you paid the ticket, and alas- it turns out you were mistaken. But what is your total fine and costs and penalties? Some places the total fine amount is used to determine severity of the offense, whether it is traffic or criminal.
Then again if in AZ it was your first offense they have a diversion program, with a huge fine but no points or permanent record. Ask your MVD so you'll be prepared.
@ Karl ...I paid $877 and completed a 3 year summary probation.. I lived in California...
@Karl my fine was $877 coz it accumulated through the years (original fine was $143) and a 3 year summary probation...they sent me to jail for 3 days...
Three days in jail? It's getting uglier in this country. Aside from that, you have some sort of a criminal conviction now, what was the charge, though? It's a misedemeanor, but still I don't see it having anything to do with your job. CA told me that my DUI was not practice related, since it happened outside of a workplace, one reason they didn't take action against my license there. It's amzing though, how random, arbitary, and hellish things can get when you make a mistake, eh?
