LVN experience with NCLEX PN and PVT!!!

Published

hey everyone just wanted to share my experience with those of you who are trying to get their LVN license and are wondering how long everything takes.

First of all, I'm from the Bay Area, California.

So I finished my LVN school at the end of September '16. I didn't get my ATI/testing letter until December 31st of 2016. Afterwards I tried delaying my testing date, was honestly a little scared but then decided to try since I wanted to get a feel of how the test works. The only reviewer I used was the NCLEX-PN app and just tried answering some of the tests it had on there. I went in on Feb. 7 and took the test, the test all of a sudden shut-off at 85. I was so scared because I felt like the questions were so hard and that I wasn't getting anything right. I walked out of there and into my car crying because I felt like I failed. I was so nervous and did all my research on how long it would take before I got the results back, almost everywhere I kept seeing 4-6 weeks, etc. I think the wait is the worst part of it all.

Then I saw posts regarding the Pearson Vue trick. So I decided to try it 4 hours after the test and it was showing the "good pop up" but I couldn't trust it, so I kept trying and trying, every single day sometimes multiple times a day, kept getting the "good pop up". Even after all of this, I was still doubting the results of the PVT because I didn't want to get my hopes up. Finally got my letter in the mail today, Feb. 16. So it only took 9 days before I got my results in the mail. All I want to say that the PVT worked for me. I don't want to speak for anyone else.

The way I did the PVT was I tried re-applying on the Pearson Vue website then when it got to the payment info screen I entered everything correctly except for the card expiration date and the CVV. You have to keep going until the very end. So after entering your CC info you get to a screen where it says Your order is NOT complete until you click the Submit Order” button. keep going after that then you get to a second screen the "good pop up" should say

  • Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time.

As long as you put the wrong expiration date and CVV you won't get charged so just keep trying to hit the submit order button.

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting to take the NCLEX or those waiting on their results.

Congrats!

My situation is pretty similar except for some minor details. (I'm from the Bay Area, but graduated in November and got my ATT in January)

Sat for the NCLEX-PN today (4/13) around 12PM, finished around 2PM with 85 questions. Wasn't able to get home until about 4PM (Bay Area traffic) tried PVT, got the good message. Went out to watch a movie and just tried the PVT again a couple minutes ago (even used correct cc info) and still got the good message.

From reading a lot of forums about the PVT I know everyone has their own stories; but yours definitely gives me some hope.

Here's to the wait! Time to catch up on my very neglected PS4.
