LVN Endorsement in Texas

Published

To whom it may concern

Hello,

I have a question about the endorsement license.

I am a foreign nurse RN from Cameroon, and living in Texas since 2006.

I applied for LVN Board of California, and after a long procedure I was eligible to take the Board exam.

I took the NCLEX LVN and passed November 2013. My question is:

Will I be able to endorse my California licence in Texas license, so I can work as a LVN in Texas?.

I already took the online Nursing Jurisprudence Exam Prep Course. :)

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.
If i pass the CA RN exam. Will i be able to endorse in to TX and work as an RN? I already applied to CA RN Board Exam.[/quote']

If you meet the requirements for license by endorsement to Texas. Why did you apply to CA if you live in Texas with no plans to relocate to CA to live & work?

One does not apply for a board exam but for a nursing license by examination. The national NCLEX is but one step in the process. You are going to incur double the application fees by applying in CA hoping for approval then trying to determine of you meet TX requirements. It seems like a waste of time and money to me especially when CA BRN has been going through international applications with a fine tooth comb due to rampant fraud. The application review time in CA can be 6-9 months if not longer.
