Hello everyone! I'm currently a Lpn in the St. Louis area and wanted to know about LSN lpn to rn bridge.... Was there a waiting list and how long was it? Do they accept Stlcc pre-requisites? Also any overall experiences you may want to share. Thanks for any info!

I don't have any experience personally with the LPN-RN bridge program, but I am graduating from Lutheran this Sunday!! Woot woot!
From what I understand, they will accept certain Pre-Reqs, but you'll have to talk to Admissions to get all of the details.
If you've any specific questions about the program, I'll help you the best I can :) It's a great program, it has its ups and downs, like any other. One strong benefit is the amount of clinical time we get, as opposed to many other schools in our area. By the time you're done, you would have clocked in nearly 1,000 clinical hours!
Check out the other Lutheran thread in this sub-forum as well. I'm here to help, if need be.

Thanks so much! Hopefully they would accept Forest Park community college credits. Where are the clinical sites located? I'm hoping the wait list isn't too long.
The clinical sites, from what I remember, are places like:
-St. Mary's
-St. Alexius
-Mercy
-Cardinal Glennon
-Kindred
-(Used to go to St. Anthony's, but no longer. We go to some other hospital in Lake St. Louis for your OB rotation.)
It may be too early, but that's all I can remember right now
As for those credits that they may, or may not accept. Take a look at the school's site, and you can see the LPN-RN track. If you've taken some, or all of these classes (aside of the nursing ones, of course), they very well might transer.
Welcome to the Lutheran Nursing programs.
I pray they take them but, the downside of it is it seems if you already have prerequisites you're placed on the waiting list if you have prerequisites already.....from the looks of the threads......they rather you take them there. But I will keep faith alive and pursue LSN anyway and try my luck.....besides my dream is worth the wait.... thanks so much for the info!

Is there a hesi EXIT exam.... if so whats the passing score?
I took my prerequisites there, but don't let it get you down. I think it's easier to get into the Bridge program rather than starting from fresh.
About the HESI, my class had to take it (I just took mine yesterday), and we also had to take an ATI (took mine today), and I passed both... effectively making me a Graduate Nurse! Technically, we only had to pass one or the other. Though, I think we're dropping ATI, and getting Kaplan. How long it will be when that happens? I've no clue.
I will say, don't let the HESI scare you. We needed a minimum of 800 to pass, and that's so very easy to accomplish, I promise you!

How is the entrance exam is it done using pencil and paper or on the computer?
Well, I think I bypassed that exam by taking the ACT's. However, I've seen people taking it (or at least I believe that's what they were taking), and it was paper pencil.
Did you have to wear uniform or regular clothing?
For normal class, you can dress in civilian clothes, no uniforms. However, they don't really tolerate certain things, like super short shorts, massive cleavage, ya know, stuff like that.
In clinical, you'll be wearing scrubs, of course. Tattoo's covered, stud earrings (no danglings), and pretty much common sense stuff.

Did you have to take specialty hesi after each nursing course? Or just Hesi Exit only?
