Lurie Children's New Grad Residency Fall 2017

Has anyone who applied to Lurie Children's for the August/October New Grad RN positions heard anything back yet? I know the applications opened up on May 1st.

Jeff from HR called me- he's the person who greeted us (my group, at least) before the interview with the managers/ UD.

He asked if I could start in August but I can't start until October. I think calls are going out this week, too! Sending you all good thoughts :-)

Hi MPMChicagoRN, are they going to let you start in October? What did they say when you asked to start in October? I hope you don't mind me asking.

Does anyone know when the Resource team will be making offers? Or do you know anyone that's heard back from them by chance?

I still have yet to hear anything about hem/onc or gen-med/pulm. I do know that there is construction starting on the 22nd floor so all of the patients on the 21st floor (gen-med/pulm) were moved yesterday to the extended stay rooms on the 7th floor of the OR and possibly to other floors. idk if that has anything to do with not hearing anything about them. I want to call HR and ask about hem/onc and gen-med/pulm but idk if it will be helpful. the first time i tried calling they told me info that wasn't correct.

Does anyone remember if there were opening in the OR for the new grad residency?

Thank you for the info. I can't remember if there was an opening. I don't remember seeing one, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hello everyone,

I applied in May for the Aug/Oct New grad program. I got a call for an interview and that took place on June 12th. We were told we would hear back by the end of June no later than the 1st week of July. It's the second week of July and I'm still waiting to hear back. Just in case you all are wondering I interviewed for Gen/Pulm/Med. If anyone hear anything please let me know. Thanks in advance.
