Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago

Hello!

I am about to graduate from nursing school this may and was wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is to get accepted into Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's RN internship/new grad program? It has been a dream of mine to work there and was curious how many people they accept.

So I actually just called the main hospital and asked to be transferred to HR-their hours are from 8-1pm. I was honestly surprised that they answered because sometimes they just send you to the automated response. But yes so reassuring, I’m sure you guys will hear back next week!

I haven’t gotten an email either. and my app is still “under review” as well. ?

I haven’t gotten anything either :/ not sure if they’re looking at them in order or what since I turned my stuff in later.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Hopefully we all hear back shortly! I turned my application in on the 23rd the day before it closed out

I turned my stuff in the day before too, so they could just be looking at them in order! did you guys put ccu or transplant as your first choice?

I turned mine in the 21st! I had CCU first but it’s probably so competitive too! I had 2 recommendations from people who work at Luries so I’m hoping for the best!

does anyone know when we are going to hear back from the CCU and how many positions they're hiring into?

@NurseM1423 that’s great! We’re the recommendations nurses who completed the new grad program in previous cohorts? I’ve heard such wonderful things about the new grad program and it’s definitely my top choice! I know it’s competitive so I’m keeping hopeful thinking ?
