Hello!
I am about to graduate from nursing school this may and was wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is to get accepted into Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's RN internship/new grad program? It has been a dream of mine to work there and was curious how many people they accept.
Thanks!
@nursesh1414 yeah I guess I am worried because I might not get a peds rotation before I graduate due to COVID.
Super random but is anyone moving to the city and looking for a roommate or have a potential nurse friend that is looking for a roommate? I just got accepted at Northwestern Memorial and will be moving downtown during October! I thought it would be nice to share a living space with someone understanding of my night shift schedule. Let me know! ? Or if you have any recommendations of where to find rooommates in the chicago area let me know!
@midwestnurse123 Hi! I just saw your comment, I am not moving to Chicago yet, but I graduate in May and am looking to apply to Northwestern. I haven't been able to find much info on this site for their residency program, so could I DM you privately and ask you some questions?
@midwestnurse123 Congrats on accepting a position at Northwestern!! That’s awesome and I hope your move to Chicago goes smoothly ? I’ve also been applying to positions at Northwestern but haven’t heard anything yet at this point - would I be able to DM you as well?

@KaitlinC I didn't have any peds experience for the most part! I did the normal peds clinical during school and then took an extra peds class and clinical my last semester in peds Hem/Onc to show my interest in peds. I had a Summer nursing internship right before my senior year of school but I worked on an adult unit at a different hospital in the city
