Hi everyone! I graduate nursing school in about 1 month. I am currently doing my preceptorship. I am having difficulty in assessing lung sounds. I THINK I know the difference between clear vs. adventitious; however, I cannot differentiate among the differences. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks,Frustrated student nurse.......

Aug 19, 2006 here are two other websites that i have where you can go online and listen to lung sounds:http://www.emory.edu/whscl/grady/inetgrp/hplung.html - lung sounds on line will link you into all kinds of specific lung sounds at various sites.http://www.blaufuss.org/ - the heart sounds tutorial at this site has absolutely beautiful animations of the flow of blood through the heart and heart action and how it correlates to the ekg tracing as well as the sound heard with your stethoscope. this is quite an extensive site with a lot of information.
