Okay, I gotta share this! I swear, this is a true story, every word..

Had a patient awhile ago with a gaping wound in his scrotum. It was a real challenge keeping a dressing on this wound, and keeping the packing ribbon in place. I called in a wound consult for him to see if a wound/ostomy nurse could come up with some better ideas for keeping a dressing over the wound. The WORN set him up with one of those mesh panties. As she was about to cut some holes in it so he could take care of his bodily functions, he held up a warning finger.

"Before you start snipping, I'd just like to know something...have you got anything against men?"

"I assure you, I don't," she replied.

She then went at the mesh with the scissors. The whole time she was cutting, she kept muttering under her breath: "Bobbit....Bobbit....Bobbit!"

I had to laugh when I read this. John Wayne Bobbitt is in my hubbie's prison and the guards were not so nice to him when he came through for his initial strip search. Comments were made to him and he's not a man who can easily control his temper. The whole reason he went back to prison was by violating his parole by beating up his girlfriend. Guess he never learns, huh? :chuckle

At halloween I went as a Lorena victim.

I found a fake member that was made just for this occasion and was complete with a severed stump.

Unzip, stick it to the side with the incision site hanging out... drip a little blood down the pants and well.... That was me :)
