Hi everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread so we can keep each other updated on what units we are all applying to and when we start hearing back from them as we apply!

For CVICU, I was supposedly going to get an update mid week but haven’t received anything!

From what I understand, these new postings are just a technicality. I believe that each candidate hired needs to be linked to a specific job posting on their human resources website. So, those aren't new postings. They just put them up so that when they hire someone, they can link the candidate to that job opening on the website. At least that's what they did for me. Once they gave me a verbal offer, they put up the posting and I got an automatic email saying I had been "invited to apply" to that specific opening. I didn't have to do anything for it though. HR filled out all the info, and then I got a formal offer for that opening via the HR website that I had to accept or decline.

No problem! I would love to connect with other people in the cohort. If anyone else ends up accepting an offer at LCPH, let me know! Maybe we can start a facebook group or something.

Hey NICUNurse, thanks for the clarification. And congrats on the position! Were you offered it for Fall2019? Do you happen to know if they are still sending out offers for acute care?

Thank you! Yes, I was offered a position in the NICU for the fall. I don't know much (not even sure how many people they're hiring for the NICU or whether they've sent out any other NICU offers yet). It seems like they're still interviewing for other units too and are not done sending out offers. I was under the impression that offers wouldn't go out until July 22nd, so I was surprised when I heard back. I don't think it means they're wrapping up though, just that the process is different for every unit and people hear back at different times. Fingers crossed for you!

In that case they usually state a candidate has been identified for that position, I’ve seen that posted before. These positions are different... anyway...who knows ? I emailed them asking so we’ll see what they say.

I just accepted a job on one of the acute care units last week! If you make a facebook group, let me know! I want to connect also ?

Hey everyone! Has anyone had a second interview with CVICU and heard anything since? This waiting period is the worst! ?
