Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital New Grad RN Residency- Fall 2020

Hi! Does anyone know if LPCH will still be opening up their new grad app for the Fall 2020 cohort or if it will be delayed due to the pandemic? I know the app should be opening up in April but their website still has the info from the past cohort period.

I didn’t even interview for NICU but I so appreciate your update and effort to find out more information! Wondering if it’s a similar situation for Hem/Onc... who knows!

Does anyone know in what order they are contacting people -- is it by unit, alphabetical order, or something else?

I think it depends entirely on the unit. Some are slower/faster than others, plus some choose to do verbal offers before the official HR one while others just let HR do it. I definitely don't think it would be alphabetical order though.

Okay so NICU update: talked to the person I know who's there now. She says a few of the NICU managers are on vacation this week (!!) which could be why no one has heard. She said last time it took a full two weeks for everyone to hear. She also has not heard of ANYONE being offered the positions yet and offered to ask her clinical educator for us to see if anyone got an offer when she works tomorrow.

Hey!! I talked with one of my friends who works in the NICU and she too said She doesn’t know of anyone being hired for NICU. I also emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) so hopefully she’ll reply because the anticipation is killing us!!

Thanks for the update! It's been exactly 2 weeks since the interview soooo hoping we all hear back today!
