Hi! Does anyone know if LPCH will still be opening up their new grad app for the Fall 2020 cohort or if it will be delayed due to the pandemic? I know the app should be opening up in April but their website still has the info from the past cohort period.
For the second interview you will be 1 of 4 candidates interviewing. You will all start out the zoom meeting together and everyone will introduce themselves. There will be around 8 people from the unit who will also be on the zoom meeting. After introductions you will be broken out into individual zoom sessions. In each of the sessions there will be around 2 interviewers from the unit who will be asking you 2-4 questions. There are a total of 4 sessions. Also come prepared with questions for them because you will have 1 min to ask any questions you have at the end of EACH session. Once you complete all 4 sessions everyone is brought back to the original zoom meeting and you will be given info on what the next steps are. In each of the sessions it will only be you so it definitely won't be like the first interview where you got to hear everyones responses.
Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know what the second interview will be like?
When is your second interview? I heard from previous friends that it's unit based either more informal or formal (same format as the first interview). They said some asked more questions like why nursing, why pediatric critical care, and why LPCH etc. Also some said they asked clinical questions involving sepsis bundles. Goodluck and CONGRATS!

Thank you so much for the format! My email says in-person so I think it may be different. How were the questions they asked different from the first round? I feel like the first round interview questions were generally the same across all of the units.

Thank you so much for the information! They haven't scheduled it yet. The email said I would be contacted in 2-3 days from the department to get one scheduled.

No problem. Yes, yours might be different since its in person. The questions were definitely more personal and focused on you because they are trying to learn about your personality. There were so many questions I really can't remember them all but they were more along the line of common interview questions. If you follow RN Interview facebook page they have a document with common questions and I used that to help me prepare.

Good luck & best wishes to everyone who has their interview coming up! I know this is an extremely stressful time, but remember to be proud of how far you've come!
