<Information about Touro Nevada>

U.S.A. Nevada

Published

hi everyone!

i got accepted to touro nevada today and wanted to know if any students/anyone knew any specifics about the program? i.e. class/clinical scheduling, academic work load, curriculum, and is as ridiculously as complicated/difficult as the faculty made it seem during my interview...i have said before that they made it seem way too tough or either really good, i am still not sure which one to go with! i am excited though and interested in any information, which anybody can pass on! i was told about this specific camp thing that they are doing right before the july start, what is that all about? i still have not been told too much info about it from the college.

well thanks for your insights!

I replied already =D Did you receive it?

Has anyone heard back regarding the Fall 2011 BSN program?

I heard that they are processing my application. =)

Just call once a week until you find out.

Sometimes they know but wait to send out a group email or letter.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll call them today.

I received a call today, I've received conditional acceptance (waiting on a transcript).

When does the semester start? They don't have BSN listed in the catalog, just RN-BSN. However, it looks like all the programs start up on either Oct-31 or Nov-1.

the calendar for our cohort says Oct 31st - but you guys, being 1st sem - might be on tuesday or wedneday since that's how we did it last year. I wouldn't expect better clarification until at least Sept on that date

good luck :)

I also received a phone call today. I got in... What a relief! Congrats to all who are admitted!!

I also got accepted. Yay! Congr:Dats to all my future classmates! :D

Hi Everyone!

I am searching for rentals in the Henderson area, preferably closer to Touro as much as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions on where or who to contact for best deals? Thanks!

The closest apartment is Remington Canyon which is a pretty nice but can be pricey...I checked prices two years ago ($800-900 1 bdrm 1 bath) so I don't know what they are now but I remember that they have a discount for Touro students. Some apartments do, so make sure to ask for student discounts. I toured the area in July with a move in date of October. Around the time school started for me they called me about how the prices have dropped and if I'm still interested. I don't know if that's because I had expressed interest or what. I got lucky with my apartment, Wildhorse Estates, which is a 10-15 minute drive to the campus ($480 for 1bdrm 1 bath after student discount) but they removed the discount and it is now about $560-650.

You can try visiting places you like and put your name down for them to contact you later for cheaper prices.

Hi Empyreal,

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely look into the two places you have mentioned.
