Hey y’all I just wanted to start a thread for those planning on applying to the CARE program for 2021. I know it’s far out, but we can start planning ahead. Looking forward to talking to every one ?
Essentially, you type about whatever they present to you on your document like Word. Then you submit it via email or link provided. All this while you are being watched by the Procter. 30 minutes to type your essay. I just did mine today at 1pm and it was pretty easy going. They also had a question and answer session with current nursing students afterwards which was really helpful.
Mine was if you were a superhero, what power would you have and how would you use it to help yourself and the world.
Hi everyone!
I just finished my proctored essay last week for the program. Did anyone else hear that they had more applicants for the CARE program than the traditional this year? I am very nervous after hearing that! Does anyone know how soon after the admission meeting in April they send out acceptance letters?

I haven't heard this. Some proctored essay groups were more predominantly Trad or CARE, but others were more even.
CARE in recent years has been making an effort to increase its acceptance numbers. TRAD classes are typically only slightly larger than CARE so that's not unusual to have an even balance of applicants. I wouldn't let it stress you out too much. At this point you've done everything you can. Now you just wait. This is a common experience in nursing school. hahahaha.
Acceptance emails go out pretty quickly once the committee meets. Be warned...it can take a couple of days for everyone to be notified. If some people hear back on Day 1, don't stress cause your email may come three days later.
