LSU CARE Fall 2020 Applicants

I wanted to see who else is applying to the CARE program for fall 2020. I graduated in 2003 with an art education degree and decided this summer I would go back to school and get the nursing degree I always wanted. I am taking my last prerequisites this semester!

I got mine, too! Now to try to find time when the kids aren’t around and I am home!

I received an email last night that Ms Pierce couldn’t find my Development Psych hopefully I get me interview soon.

At Baton Rouge Community College they didn’t send my updated transcript but Ms Pierce emailed me and said send it directly to her so she got it today.....

Has anyone done the interview? I wanted to do what Dr Pierce suggested and see all the questions the first time around, think on it the night and come back to it tomorrow. But, it looks like you can’t move to the next question until you submit. Is that everyone else’s experience?

Hey! I completed the interview earlier today. You are correct. You can only view the question one at a time.

I tried to do the same thing Dr Pierce suggested but also couldn't preview the questions. But I got it completed and submitted the other day.

Did everyone schedule their essay? It was weird because I remember choosing the 11am option so I'd miss morning rush hour. But it confirmed me for an earlier timeslot. I verified with the office so I know when to show up. But it was still a weird glitch. So maybe double check your confirmation email and go by that date and time.

Does anyone know if we get a "thanks but no thanks" email if we are not going to get an invite to interview? Curious if I should keep hoping or not!

Personally, I'd suggest reaching out them. They've been really responsive and helpful. Maybe they have the wrong email on file or maybe your spam filter caught it.

What was your pre-req GPA? From what I've heard, the only reason you wouldn't get an invite would be a) missing prerequisites or b) low pre-req GPA. Like I heard last year's cut-off was 3.4 and its been creeping up each year as it gets more competitive.

Hopefully it just got lost and they just need to resend it.

I would give them a call. I know someone in the last cohort wasn’t receiving emails and had to call every time.
