LSU CARE Fall 2020 Applicants

I wanted to see who else is applying to the CARE program for fall 2020. I graduated in 2003 with an art education degree and decided this summer I would go back to school and get the nursing degree I always wanted. I am taking my last prerequisites this semester!

Been a week and a half. I emailed everyone to make sure they got it. And I can pester my boys to finish it on-time. I wonder if NursingCas sends a reminde or anything. I hate to annoy my academic reference especially given the time of year.

On a sidenote, my dad seems determined to jinx me. He keeps telling everyone that Im going to LSU already. No matter how much I explain it, he doesn't get how competitive the ABSN program is and how few students they take.

I would give them until just after Christmas and remind them. My sister had this happen to her when she was applying to grad school and it is so awkward. No one wants to be a nag, but tick tick!

My dad was telling people last semester that I was already in nursing school and I was just taking prerequisites. He even told a nurse when he was having surgery that I was in nursing school, lol. I’ve told him how hard it is to get in, but he keeps saying “you’ll do it.” We’ll see!

I received an email today saying my application is being forwarded to the program director!!!! Anyone else?

Hey guys!!
I’m applying for the Fall 2020 Traditional BSN program I don’t have a bachelors but decided to make a career change so I’m somewhat of a non traditional student. There’s no threads for any Fall 2020 traditional BSN Hopefuls so I figured I’d chime in on this thread!!!
I received my email today Saying my application was forwarded to the program director and look out for next steps around mid-February....I’m sooo anxious!!!

Congrats!! Still waiting on my Supplemental Fee to process. Scared it got lost in the mail. Might go hand deliver it next week if it doesn't post soon.

I sent mine in about a week ago, where would you go to see if it posted?

They sent me an email it’s nothing set in stone but I feel better about my application now. I sent my supplemental first class and tracked it they recurved it Monday.

For those of you that paid with a check, did it post to your banking account when they moved your application to the Program Director?

I received the email, too. I just checked the bank account and it posted either yesterday or this morning.

Got my director email yesterday and my interview email today. Whew!

Plan is to do it Friday after work so I don't have to worry about any last minute technical issues that may arise.
