Hi all!
I've recently changed my major to pre-nursing, and am applying for the Spring 2015 semester this August! I've got tons of questions, and also have gathered a lot of research about the program from past forums and current students. This thread, I'm sure, will be helpful in both easing our nerves and providing insight about the upcoming application process! It seems to be different for every semester. I get attacked by my anxiety every time I question if my GPA will suffice! Has anyone started the application process yet (i.e., personal statement, HESI, etc.?)
Hey guys! Good luck to all doing interviews! I had mine today and there is no need to worry- as I was before today. There are signs everywhere so you won't get lost. They ask the basic questions everybody asks you when you talk about nursing. Why nursing, why LSU, if you don't get in what will you do?And I have heard that if you don't get an interview there is someone you can contact after it is all over to find out why. This is my second time applying and that's what my letter said last time I didn't get in and I emailed them and they told me where I could have improved.
Hope this helps!
I had my interview today and I was not asked why nursing or why lsuhsc? Should I be worried? I was asked what are some qualities of a nurse and what qualities do I have and what is my back up plan
Hi all. My nerves are getting to me. I got the first email everyone else seemed to get, but do y'all know if they're still sending out invites for interviews? If we didn't make it, will they let us know?
I am in your boat. I got that first email, but nothing since. I know they are supposed to be sending out more emails this week regarding interviews for the week of Sept 22. I assume that will happen tomorrow at the earliest, seeing as yesterday and today are spent interviewing the first round of people.
Has anyone gotten an interview request for the second round?
no, and it is driving me crazy. i'm getting anxious because i was originally told that interviews would be on a Saturday, but now that they are during the week I will have to use a half day or say I have a doc appointment - unfortunately I have to give that type of notice 2 weeks in advance, and we are right at the 2 week mark now.
