LPN work in hospitals?

Published

does anyone know of any hospitals in Indy or surrounding areas that hire LPNs?? If you work at a Clarian or St. Francis outpt./clinic does that count with tuition reimbursement as a full time employee?? I will be a new grad in december of this year. I don't have experience, but am a hard and quick learner. I want to go back to school right away to get my RN, but need financial assistance. It seems like none of the hospitals want LPNs anymore.....any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It's a rough job market around here right now. I started as an LPN, so I understand what you are looking for. Most of the big hospitals are just not hiring LPN's, very little if at all. I know Clarian is not, Community may be worth a look, but again it just seems like most have quit hiring LPN's

My suggestion would be to look at Seton Specialty Hospital on north side (By St V on 86th), Kindred Hospitals (one on 10th street near theVA, and the other is south in Greenwood) They all use LPN's and Kindred used to do well at tuition assistance for those going to school.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the input! It's much appreciated!! :)

Hancock Regional in Greenfield has quite a few LPNs. I started there as an LPN and love it. I do know that in May of next year they are going to team nursing. Not looking forward to that though....
