Hi I want to become a LPN. Where do I start? Do I have to have certain qualifications or certain classes out of the way before I can enroll in LPN-RN programs? I am graduating this Dec 08 with my first BA in Liberal Studies and now decide to become a nurse. This is the route I am going: CNA to LPN to RN. I will take a CNA course first to get my certificate to work while I go to school to become a LPN. I just want to know...in order to be enrolled in LPN school..do I have to have certain prerequisites before I can be admitted? Please help. Thanks.:loveya:

Hi,
It all depends on the school but other than the heavy science classes you should have many of the pre-reqs done. Since you already have a Bachelors I'd look into an accelerated BSN program. I'm not sure what your current job is but I don't know that I'd want to work for CNA wages if you can do better with your degree. Good luck!
