I start my program the exact same day. I'm going to IVY Tech in Richmond IN. I see you are in Ohio...where are you going?

Hi,
I'm just a couple of months away from graduation, knock wood. I have really enjoyed the two semesters I have spent with the 2nd year RN students. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that my LPN education gave me a wonderful base to build from as I continued with my studies. Hopefully your experience will be as good as mine has been so far.

agree w/ Jules. We merged with the 2nd yr RN students ("generics" my school calls them) after about a month of intense transitioning. I have done very well in class and am very comfortable in clinicals and am expanding on a base of knowledge from my years working at a hospital. The hardest part is fitting everything (school, life, family, study) in but it is doable. I like having the generics around because they come to us with questions and when you teach others you learn too! Graduating May 15th. Good Luck to you!

I just graduated with my LPN two days ago, and I start transition to RN on May 19th, no break for me!!!!
But actually glad to just keep going, dont want to get used to the down time, that makes it harder for me. Wish everyone the best. Enjoy your summer to those of you that have an actual break!
I love med-surg

How did you do that?. Cuz here in California LPN's have to wait 1 year in order to start bridge program?. What state do you live in?.

I started my transition program yesterday. I take a bridge course this summer then I have to take proficiency exams in MedSurg I, II, and Psych nursing to see where I'll fit in second year courses.

Hello,
I started Pharmacology on 27 May, add Role Transition on 1 July. Then two semesters of Nursing (3rd & 4th) I should graduate May 2009! I took a challenge exam so I get to bypass 1st and 2nd semester nursing. To all the other LPNs out there Good Luck!!!!
