I need clarification. Is a state board test the SAME as the NCLEX exam?

I need clarification. Is a state board test the SAME as the NCLEX exam?

I have never heard of a state board test and I would venture to say that they are not the same thing. The Nclex is the same not matter what state you take it in.

I am from Minnesota and I have heard many nurses refer to Nclex and the one for RN's as state boards. I think that in most states people refer to it as state boards.
