I live in North Carolina and got my PN from Rockingham Community College (Wentworth), also Guilford Technical Community College offers LPN (greensboro). Those are the only two I can think of right now. RCC is wonderful. The cost is not too bad either. I would say roughly 3000-4000 for the whole program.
You also might want to visit this site's North Carolina Nurses' forum and post there in order to obtain a wider range of responses to your question. Good luck with your quest to find an affordable school! :)
Sentara in Chesapeake, Va is around $7,000.00 Here's the link. They do have a program that starts in Jan.

What about Forsyth Tech in Winston Salem? They have 100% NCLEX pass rate for the LPN program.
Florida Community College, www.fccj.com , has a PN program as well that I think is 4 or 5 thousands...for 12-15 months.....
