New York Cityers, have you heard of a new LPN school in Brooklyn, right off Linden Blvd and Flatbush Ave. It's called ILPN, some non-nurses wanted to know if I knew anything about them...ie accredited. If anyone has any information about them, please post.
:angryfire I have never seen such unprofessional employess until today. Check this out folks. I went to this so call LPN school today on Flatbush Ave corner of Linden Blvd to find out more details of the school and its credibility. The atmosphere of the school was a big no ,no to me. I thought I was in an West Indian restaurant not a school. But anyway this school is called "ILPN" is has no recognition whatsoever, not even the website recognize this school. I just want to tell all these people who are looking to become an LPN nurse from "ILPN" you all better watch out and make sure you all have your travel documents cause when it's time for your clinical you will be going to Jamaica; not Jamaica Queens.. Jamaica W.I.

The question is, did anyone graduate from this school and become a nurse? I want to know atleast one person who has graduated from this school and is now a working nurse.
Dont go there, they r not accredited, my friends and I went there last year and they told us we had to go to jamicia for clinical rotation and i ask my aunt about who is a nurse and owns her own home care business told me one of her cna did a school like that and wasnt able to take nclex b/c she wasnt eligible
so my advice go to a accredited school u better of, so u dont go through any headache

Ok...so we've already established that they aren't accredited, but can one sit for the NCLEX (international). Not sure what people who studied abroad take, I THINK it's an NCLEX where if you are from another country say like the Phillipines you don't have to go back to school u could just take the NCLEX.
I'll check with the BON, a friend of mine wants to get into an LPN school real bad, but if this is bocus then......later for that.
all new york state approved nursing schools are listed on the ny state ed. dept. office of the professions web site at: http://www.op.nysed.gov/nurseprogs.htm.
if a nursing school is not listed on this site, it is not accredited, and graduates will not be able to be licensed as nurses in new york state!
for further information about accredited schools or licensure, you can also call nysed at (518) 474-3817 or e-mail them at [email protected].
Nope, not accredited and not able to sit for NCLEX in 3 states (NY, NJ, and OH). Got rejection letters from each state's BON my niece and her boyfriend applied to, after "passing" a.k.a. giving ILPN their $9k and coming back from 1 WEEK OF CLINICALS in Jamaica (the island).
They didn't pursue taking ILPN to court or anything as they hide the money collected in Jamaican bank accounts.
Please don't make the same mistake my niece and her boyfriend made. My niece is now attending another LPN school in Edison, NJ that is accredited and chalking up the $9k lost to ILPN as "live and learn". Her boyfriend was so embarrassed to tell his family about being scammed that he just told them he did not pass.
Me and my husband feel bad for my niece and we blame it on her mom (my sister-in-law) as she SWEARS she has hookups here and there and this and that connection...if she just asked us first A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH WOULD'VE BROUGHT HER TO THIS FORUM WHICH WOULD'VE SET OFF A BUNCH OF RED FLAGS AND PROBABLY SAVED HER $9K.

(I used to frequent this message board when I had a hard time passing the NCLEX...5th time was the magic number!)
Good luck all!!
fake school finally caught. one of my co-workers got scammed out of $10,000. here's the link.
