I am an RPN, I graduated in may of 2011. I started working at the hospital in my area in sept 2011. I want to say that i am sick and tired of the whole thing. Financially, it's not a good idea for me to leave my job right now. I have a full time job as a float pool med-surg nurse. I have Operating room experience because i was a scrub nurse for 4.5 years. I have recently gone back to floor nursing. I am just so sick of the whole thing. I have been told I am useless, I have been given the toughest teams with the worst patients. We are classed as service in our union. I am a NURSE. it drives me crazy that I am always at the bottom. does anyone else just wanna shout it from the rooftop that we are nurses? I pay the same fees to the college of nurse as RN's, but yet i am not a nurse? frustrated.....

If you can't beat 'em , attempt to join 'em. I know, easier said than done. Then you get the RN version of the same.

I know how you feel. I am constantly being asked if I am go8ng back to school, because I am too smart/good whatever to just "stay an LPN".
