LPN to RN Valencia Community College Specific Questions

I've done a lot of reading, I understand all the requirements. I understand that classes are online and Lab and Clinical are required in person as well as in person testing. My questions are ONCE I have been accepted:

1. For semester 1 is Lab 1 day a week (Wednesday) at Osceola Campus?

2. For Semester 1. Is there also a Clinical day?

I've read that in semester 2 you have 2 Clinical mental health days. I do understand that you have to go to your clinical site the day before to gather pt information. My questions are:

1. Are you physically at clinical 2 whole days a week not counting the day you gather information on your patient.

In semester 3 you are required to work your assigned preceptors schedule, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. My question is:

1. How many days per week are you required to do this?

2. How many total hours are required?

3. Is it possible to get a preceptor that works night shift?

I'm trying to figure out if I can manage the school's clinical schedule requirements. Any information regarding specific details will be much appreciated.

Have you been accepted yet? I applied for the AVS program at VCC and am waiting to find out if I get in . If accepted I will start this Summer 2016.

Some things I've heard... If your points total is 44 you're most likely to get in. The tease score is irrelevant. They accept 20 students per semester and if you don't get in this time you're guaranteed a spot for the next semester. I don't know if any of this is true but hopefully it will help ease your mind a bit.

Man I hope that is true. My total points were 49 and I scored a 72 on my TEAS so holding my breath! What classes are you taking now?

I'm not taking any right now. Just finished nutrition. I only have micro left to do but will take it in the fall. How long has it been since you applied? I think you'll be alright considering your scores.

The app deadline was 1-15-16 and I turned my app in on 1-12-16. When I handed it to the girl at the desk she looked it over and said "you should hear something in 5 weeks." So I am hoping that means their not full yet considering I turned it in kinda late. So crossing my fingers.

I got my acceptance e-mail today into the AVS program at Valencia and I start on May 9th, 2016...I am so excited!!

Thanks Ms....yes I got the e-mail yesterday and originally dropped off my app in person on 1-12. So I heard back a lot sooner than I would have. The mandatory orientation is on 3-4-16 so I will let ya know after that...Have you applied to the AVS as well??
