Valencia College Spring 2020 applicants
Get a dosage calculations book. And learn everything. More than likely there will be a test as soon as school starts and you will need to pass. Some schools require 90 and above, some have required 100.

Fabulous. Thanks. Are clinicals also on Wednesday? Or will they vary. You've been most helpful. I really do appreciate it.

Thanks so much!!! Just to clarify something... You said lab is once a week til June 27th then said 2nd 3 weeks there's ALSO clinical. So does that mean there is a lab AND a clinical in a week? I'm under the impression that once lab is done there's just clinical but that's just an assumption.

I'm not taking any right now. Just finished nutrition. I only have micro left to do but will take it in the fall. How long has it been since you applied? I think you'll be alright considering your scores.

LPN to RN Valencia Community College Specific Questions
Some things I've heard... If your points total is 44 you're most likely to get in. The tease score is irrelevant. They accept 20 students per semester and if you don't get in this time you're guaranteed a spot for the next semester. I don't know if any of this is true but hopefully it will help ease your mind a bit.

Valencia College Advanced Track Spring 2016
Please, if you have information on what the clinical and lab schedule is like let me know. I hear in the 1st semester you have lab 1 day a week on wednesday on the Oceola Campus. Do you also have clinical during this time on another day or just lab? Also I heard the second semester may have 2 clinical lab days. I know you have to go to clinical the day before to get your pt's info so I'm not sure if the person who said 2 clinical days was counting the day you get your pt info. And last for semester 3 I know you work with your preceptor schedule. What is the expected amount of clinical days per week at this time. THANKS

LPN to RN Valencia Community College Specific Questions
I've done a lot of reading, I understand all the requirements. I understand that classes are online and Lab and Clinical are required in person as well as in person testing. My questions are ONCE I have been accepted: 1. For semester 1 is Lab 1 day a week (Wednesday) at Osceola Campus? 2. For Semester 1. Is there also a Clinical day? I've read that in semester 2 you have 2 Clinical mental health days. I do understand that you have to go to your clinical site the day before to gather pt information. My questions are: 1. Are you physically at clinical 2 whole days a week not counting the day you gather information on your patient. In semester 3 you are required to work your assigned preceptors schedule, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. My question is: 1. How many days per week are you required to do this? 2. How many total hours are required? 3. Is it possible to get a preceptor that works night shift? I'm trying to figure out if I can manage the school's clinical schedule requirements. Any information regarding specific details will be much appreciated.
