Dallas, TX LVN-ADN Programs

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hello, all! I am an LVN in Dallas, TX with over a year of nursing experience under my belt, looking to attend a LVN-RN bridge program asap. Can anyone please share their experiences [or any information heard] on point cut-off's/requirements for TVCC, El Centro, NCTC, Weatherford, Collin, Navarro, and other colleges located in the surrounding areas? Of course, I plan to speak with the college counselors and nursing program coordinators, but am just trying to get a better idea of where to start. Hearing about other people's experiences helps. I am aware the cut off's at each school vary each year, but I have heard the bridge programs usually have lower cut off's & especially during the spring semester application periods. Please share any advice that you are able...Thank you in advance!!!

LVN-to-RN program admissions in the D/FW area are still fiercely competitive.

Some other outlying schools that offer LVN-to-RN programs are Tarleton State U, Grayson County College, North Central Texas College, Hill College, Paris Junior College, Cisco Junior College, and McLennan College.

I'm applying to El centro this next period (may to July ) For spring 16. Just received my 5 year waiver. I'm so excited! Don't know about points I'm just doing my best. Good luck!

I got into Collin County. I had all my sciences complete (B in A&P 1 and As in A&P 2 and Mirco) and 5/6 on my PSB. I included a letter of recommendation, shot records, CPR, IV certificate, and resume along with the other requires for application. I am also out of county (live in Dallas).

they used to require a nursing exam for lvn/paramedics. They don't have it listed on the website anymore, but call the nursing office to verify. I had to make a 70 or better otherwise you join the general applications for the ADN program. I included this also.

Hi...

How did you get your waiver approved? If I may ask.
