I LOVE the many routes one can take to achieve their goal! I'm in the LPN program (1 yr) LPN to RN (1 yr) BUT there are some LPN to BSN options that have caught my eye as well as RN(ADN) to MSN. My goal is to be a PMHNP, all the jobs I've viewed require RN and MSN. BSN not specified as required. Input?

A BSN is not required specifically because the BSN coursework is listed as MSN pre-reqs at some institutions. As such, some institutions grant both degrees once all of the MSN requirements are completed.
There are a few programs that specifically state a BSN will not be rewarded when doing the RN-MSN route. I want to work while going to school (well I don't have a choice, lol) so I'm doing it step by step! Praying that the Loan Gods bless me with loan forgiveness in my future role ha!

I really need advice! I've been a LPN for 10 months now, I love my job. However, becoming a RN is a must for job security. I need to find a good LPN to RN or LPN to BSN program, either online or in the evenings. I've met with someone from Global Learn (Excelsior), it's completely online and affordable. It seems too good to be true. Does anyone have information on this program or any other program. Please help!!

It does make sense to just go LPN to BSN since most hospitals are no longer hiring LPN's or ASN RN's (at least in Tampa FL)
I hope you realize that Global Learn is not a college and in addition to what they charge, you will still have to pay every penny of what Excelsior charges for their courses and/or exams. I went through Excelsior College for my degree (ASN and BSN). If you are interested in Excelsior College, click on the 'Students' tab above and scroll down until you see 'Excelsior College' for more information.
