LPN-RN Bridge Summer 2013 Georgia Highlands College

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody else has applied to Georgia Highland's LPN-RN program that starts in June? I just turned in my application yesterday. I was hoping we could encourage each other and wait for good news together!

I've ordered a couple from Amazon. I'm debating on whether to get previous edition for some of them, it's soooo much cheaper. For my microbiology class last semester I had the previous edition and it was almost identical. Can't decide :-/

Thanks you guys. Do we know which one's we will be using in the first couple of classes? I know maternal child is one.

I got mine. I got a couple from the school bookstore and a couple from amazon. My friend who just graduated told me that prior editions do the job, and most of the tests come from power points, but I'm too much of a nervous Nellie, thinking I'm gonna miss something, so I got exactly what was on the list. Lol. The books we need for the first couple classes are on the schedule we got.

By the way, we all didn't really get much of an introduction to each other during the workshop. Then again, I wasn't feeling good that day, so I didn't talk much. Hope we get a chance to all come together at class!

I am sure we will have plenty of time to get better acquainted this semester, especially since our class is small. Looking forward to seeing everybody next week. :)

Hey guys,

Has anybody at the Marietta campus gone to get their nursing badges yet, or your parking pass? Where do we go, on the campus, to get them?

I thought that our campus parking passes were all we needed. I have not gotten my badge yet, I am gonna swing by Thursday or Friday for the badge.

Yeah, I went up to the Marietta campus Monday, and they told me that the sticker is actually for SPSU, not GHC, but they give it to the Marietta GHC students too. They told me it is only good for the SPSU campus, but it covers the GHC students that go there too. From my understanding, we don't actually need anything specifically for the Wellstar campus. I went up to the Rome campus a couple of weeks ago, and they gave me a GHC parking sticker, but they told me it was only good for that campus. Lol, so basically everything has become convoluted, and I'm not really sure what's right. I did get the nursing badge while I was at the Marietta campus, and if anybody's wondering, it's $6, and you get it at the business office on the 2nd floor of the Norton building.

Oh, and bring cash or a check if you go to get your nursing badge, because they don't take debit or credit cards.
