Hey everyone. So im starting to take my prerequisites for LPN school and i was wondering is it going to be hard? Psychology, biology, math, etc. And is LPN school pretty smooth? I dont expect becoming a nurse to be easy but i dont want to fail and die in the process lol, any tips? Any stories to share? Thanks (:

I completed an LVN program that did not require prerequisite coursework.
Overall, the LVN program entailed a bunch of busy work. It involved plenty of reading, memorization, and weekly quizzes. I did not work up to my full potential because I was sick with untreated hyperthyroidism while attending the program.

NO one can tell you if your specific program is going to be difficult or easy or anything in between.....for you.
YOU know if you're a good student, and your studying habits. Easy to one person is difficult to another. Some schools have pre-requisite coursework that knocks people out before they ever apply to the nursing program itself. Others have no pre-requs, and the 9-month certificate program is a piece of cake. Or it's hard. Get the point?
Do your best, and that's all you can do. Don't set yourself up with a fatalistic attitude of "it'll be too hard for me, I'll probably fail and die in the process". Self-fulfilling prophesy, right there.
Plan to do well. Then do it.
