Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Include your area of nursing, location, and how many years of experience. Thx in advance

Just relocated from Northern Kentucky where I worked in an LTACH. Started 17.50, left at 18.36 after ~15 months.

We are in South East Missouri now and I just started at an LTC facility for 15.30. Took 3 months to find this job.

I am an LPN in New York. I have 4 years experience but this tis my first time working in a hospital on a med/surg unit. Hourly, I get $28, but that is also overnight shift- days would be $26.hr

I've been an LVN for 4 years, I live in south Texas & the last job I had was in corrections making $21.30/hr. I probably could've fought for $22/hr.

hey valerie I have a tone of questions regarding corrections. are you available for some questions via email?

Specializes in M/S, LTC, Corrections, PDN & drug rehab.

I wish LVNs made that much an hour in a hospital! But I know the cost of living is more expensive up there.

In NJ I work in LTC differential 21.95-23.65/ hr

And I had no experience and was just hired November 2013

I passed my license exam in mid november started working in a group home in the bronx, ny with mr/dd clients making 22.90 an hr thought it was on the low side but guess I better be grateful.

I have been licensed for 3 months, and have STILL not found a job. I CANNOT afford to remain unemployed for another year while I finish my RN. I am willing to work private duty, home health, pretty much anything as an LPN, just to get my foot in the door. I was told that 18/hr. was what I should expect here in Miami, but the few positions I have interviewed for are offering far less. I wanted to RUN out of the interview screaming when one mentioned 13/hr. Did I go to school and accumulate all this debt to work for that? Now I would feel lucky just to get that job.

I love corrections too, being working with youth convicts for 4yrs. I am planning moving to Texas(Houston or Dallas), still undecided where to go. Any advice?

What part of dallas are you in?. Am planning to move from NJ, and seriouly looking for a job. I have 5yrs exp. Any suggestion?
