Include your area of nursing, location, and how many years of experience. Thx in advance
I am an LPN in New York. I have 4 years experience but this tis my first time working in a hospital on a med/surg unit. Hourly I get $28, but that is also overnight shift- days would be $26.hr[/quote']I wish LVNs made that much an hour in a hospital! But I know the cost of living is more expensive up there.
I have been licensed for 3 months, and have STILL not found a job. I CANNOT afford to remain unemployed for another year while I finish my RN. I am willing to work private duty, home health, pretty much anything as an LPN, just to get my foot in the door. I was told that 18/hr. was what I should expect here in Miami, but the few positions I have interviewed for are offering far less. I wanted to RUN out of the interview screaming when one mentioned 13/hr. Did I go to school and accumulate all this debt to work for that? Now I would feel lucky just to get that job.

Just relocated from Northern Kentucky where I worked in an LTACH. Started 17.50, left at 18.36 after ~15 months.
We are in South East Missouri now and I just started at an LTC facility for 15.30. Took 3 months to find this job.
