Hey everyone, just wondering where you plan on working after you graduate from your LPN program?

LTC, assisted living, clinic, home health, hospice, group home, etc?

Just wondering! I will be starting my LPN program this September, and I do like working in geriatrics so will most likely be working at the ALF that I currently work at as a CNA. But my main interest lies in psych & pediatrics, so I will be continuing on for my RN after. :nurse:

 In this economy, you should not think about where you want to work, but where you can get a job. In 1-2 years maybe things will be better but you need to do really well in your studies and hope you can get a job at all.

I agree with on that. But if you know someone who works at a hospital, nursing home, etc., that can get you in easily, then you don't have to worry about how bad the economy is. And I just happen to know quite a few people who can almost guarantee me a job once I get my license. :D

I love the elderly so I will concentrate on working in a nursing home. I would also like to

work in a hospital part time to keep my skills up to part....
