Where are you planning on working after you graduate?

Hey everyone, just wondering where you plan on working after you graduate from your LPN program?

LTC, assisted living, clinic, home health, hospice, group home, etc?

Just wondering! I will be starting my LPN program this September, and I do like working in geriatrics so will most likely be working at the ALF that I currently work at as a CNA. But my main interest lies in psych & pediatrics, so I will be continuing on for my RN after.

In this economy, you should not think about where you want to work, but where you can get a job. In 1-2 years maybe things will be better but you need to do really well in your studies and hope you can get a job at all.

assisted living and rehabilitation centers sound like a sure bet for lpns

I agree with on that. But if you know someone who works at a hospital, nursing home, etc., that can get you in easily, then you don't have to worry about how bad the economy is. And I just happen to know quite a few people who can almost guarantee me a job once I get my license.
