a nursing diagnosis is always based upon what you discovered about the person during your assessment. the priority is based upon the person's needs, probably as per maslow's theory.

a person with lung cancer is likely to have dyspnea on exertion, decreased breath sounds, wheezing, cough, hemoptysis, hoorificeness, a pleural friction rub, clubbing of the fingers due to chronic hypoxia, edema of the face, neck and upper torso, dilated chest and abdominal veins, weight loss, enlarged lymph nodes, an enlarged liver and fatigue. with a child there will be issues related to age specific behavior milestones.
