Moving from Florida to Ohio

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

This is my first time posting on this site, but I need a little help. :typing I'm moving from Florida to Cleveland soon. I contacted a temp agency in Cleveland who told me I have to retake a med course and IV certification course in order to pass meds. I cannot talk to anybody in the Board's office, I keep getting transferred to voicemail :banghead: I have those qualifications in Florida, so I'm just wondering if anybody on here knows anything about it.

Also, what is the average pay anyone knows about for an LPN with about 2 years' experience? :nuke: Thanks!

To get your question about Ohio LPN pay rates answered, you may wish to post the same question over in the Ohio Nurses forum. Since people who live and work in Cleveland post there, your question might get answered more swiftly.

I am licensed in 2 states, California and Texas. My Texas IV therapy certificate is not acceptable in California. My California IV therapy certificate is not accepted in Texas. Therefore, I'm assured you'll need to enroll in an IV therapy class in Ohio, because they most likely will not accept the one you earned in Florida.

However, I'd continue to contact the Ohio BON for more definitive answers. Perhaps they'll pick up their phones one of these days.

Thank you so much!
